Lions Low Vision

The CT Lions Club offers vision therapy to anyone whose vision impacts their function and meaningful activities. The Lions have received funding that allows them to provide each vision client with free adaptive equipment to overcome the boundaries of their visual impairment.

This vision training will give individuals the tools necessary for them to use their usable vision. *NOTE: eye exercise and glasses will not be prescribed - that will be done by the eye doctor*

A referral is needed from an eye doctor, eye specialist, or ophthalmologist to participate in Lions low vision therapy.

If an individual does not have insurance or is surviving on a limited income, Lions low vision therapy is offered at Quinnipiac University - North Haven campus free of charge. In addition to low vision occupational therapists, Quinnipiac University also offers vision social work services free of charge. Quinnipiac University also offers a support group hosted by a social worker.
